Greek Concept
-
As
Greece is the birthplace of the competing spirit, and being
surrounded by the sea, it was destined that a significant
sport such as the F.1 Powerboat would be held within its
waters.

Therefore, a round of F.1 Powerboat Championship shall be
held on the waters of the beautiful island of Corfu.
-
Due to
the high international T.V. coverage of the event, the
numerous Greek Tourist destinations shall be promoted, thus
boosting the flow of inbound tourist to Greece, during and
after the event.
-
To
maintain a continuity of the fame and glory the Greeks
brought home during the Olympics in Athens & Football
European Champions in 2004, Winners of Eurovision &
Basketball European Champions in 2005, and runners up in
Basketball World Chapmionship in 2006.

giving them the opportunity to promote their companies.
Garitsa Bay
is the ideal
venue for an event such as the
Formula.1 Powerboat World Championship Grand Prix in Greece. ,
as the sea water within the Garditsa Bay, is well protected from
the open sea due to the gulf that surrounds the area, thus
preventing all currents, & making it very safe, with calm
waters, which are important for a racing event with such high
speeds. The venue has a capacity to simultaneously host the F.1
Paddock for the race, over 50.000 spectators and over 30 VIP
hospitality areas, a musical concert with a full stage to
entertain over 20.000 spectators, Exhibitions, Restaurants and
